As a wedding stationery designer, I know how important it is to capture every little detail on your special day. That’s why I’ve put together a list of 12 items that all brides should consider packing for their wedding detail photos. Not only will these items make for stunning photos, but they’ll also help you remember all the little things that made your day so special.

  1. Dress and Veil – Your wedding gown and veil are the centerpieces of your bridal look, so they’re a must-have for your detail photos.
  2. Invitation Suite – Bring two copies of your full invitation suite if possible. Your stationery is a great way to set the tone for your wedding, and it makes for beautiful photos.
  3. Shoes – Whether you’re wearing heels or flats, your wedding shoes are an important part of your bridal look.
  4. Jewelry – Don’t forget to pack your wedding day bling! This includes your earrings, necklace, bracelet, and any other accessories you’ll be wearing.
  5. Perfume – Your signature scent is a special part of your day, and it makes for a lovely addition to your detail photos.
  6. Something Old, New, Borrowed, Blue – These traditional bridal tokens are a sentimental addition to your detail photos.
  7. ALL 3 Rings – If you have all three rings with you, your photo team will be able to capture the full set. Make sure to coordinate with whoever will be holding them afterward.
  8. Bouquet and/or Loose Florals – Your florist may include a few loose flowers or greenery for your detail photos, but make sure to coordinate with them ahead of time.
  9. Vow Book – If you’re writing your own vows, be sure to bring a copy for your detail photos.
  10. Extra Ribbon, Accents, or Items of Significance – These special touches can add a personal and unique touch to your detail photos.
  11. Guest Welcome Bags or Favors – If you’re providing welcome bags or favors for your guests, include them in your detail photos.
  12. Gifts or Notes from Each Other – If you’re exchanging gifts or love notes on your wedding day, these are a special addition to your detail photos.

Pro Tip: To make it easy to gather all your detail photo items, pack them in a box or container. This way, you only need to make sure your “detail box” is with you, rather than worrying about each item separately. This also helps your photo team start on time without having to search for each item.

By packing these 12 items for your detail photos, you’ll have a beautiful collection of memories that you’ll cherish for years to come. Happy wedding planning!
